Charms
I've been working on ways to display the four leaf clovers and came up with really cute key chains.
The bottom picture was an experiment. It is painted clay with a four leaf clover then covered with bees wax. It is smooth, heavy and it smells good too. I think for now it would look good placed on a desk.

Four Leaf Clovers A little over a month ago I found a four leaf clover. I was thrilled! The next day after that I found another one. I was shocked! All through the month of February I kept finding them and I couldn't believe my eyes. Well now I'm hooked. The hunt continues and I keep finding them, small ones, big ones, tattered ones and perfect ones. Today I found 1 four leaf and 1 five leaf. I've found 3 with five leaves so far. I have pressed most of them and have made a variety of charms. Pictured here are the big clovers framed in about a two inch filgree. I think they are extremely charming! My plan is to adorn the fronts of journals with them. I'm going to continue the search in my backyard for more mutated clovers. Wish me luck! ;) Friday, March 5, 2010 |

Illustrated Book Cover I illustrated the little book that I made for the pamphlet stitch tutorial, and I love it! I know I'll be doing more. I did change the book some. I took it apart and tore out the green paper and added fabric and I reversed the stitch to where I tied it on the inside. I like using the fabric better because it is flexible. It makes the book feel more comfortable too. Thursday, February 4, 2010 |
